It’s vital to make your voice heard – by sending a message to the Federal Senate today to stop the Restoring Territory Rights Bill 2022 legalising euthanasia and assisted suicide in the territories.
This new bill isn’t about territory rights. It is about another failure to protect our most vulnerable.
The only “right” being restored is the right to pass euthanasia and assisted suicide laws in the territories.
Indigenous Australians have given evidence about the negative impact that euthanasia laws will have on the willingness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders to access appropriate health care. This is very troubling, particularly when there is already a significant gap between life expectancy for Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians.
It is critical that the Federal Senate hears from you about your opposition to the Restoring Territory Rights Bill 2022.
Using the form below, please write an urgent letter directly to the Federal Senate – it will only take a few minutes for you to help bring hope and save lives.
Things you need to know:
- The salutation at the start and your name at the end will both be appended automatically. Please don't add these to the letter below, e.g. please do not address the email “Dear Federal Senate”.
- When you complete your name and address in the box below, your email will be directed to key Senators including the Federal Senators in your state or territory.
- You’ll see the email pre-populated with information which will help you kick-start your email.
- Be concise and respectful.
Thank you for standing up for the vulnerable and joining in collective action to defend life.
